It would appear that there could be a major connection between different countries’ diets and how much individuals are suffering from prostate symptoms.

Western countries seem to have increasing prostate disease rates, including the UK and the United States.

Typical diets there often include high rates of salt, sugar, trans-fats and saturated fats, as well as simple carbs such as those found in white bread.

Asian countries, like Singapore, have the lowest rates. Their diets have a tendency toward more fruits and vegetables, complex carbs and healthy fats.

These statistics, as well as a recent American study, seem to indicate that diets higher in fruits, vegetables,prostate-diet and complex carbs rather than simple carbs, equal a reduced risk for BPH.

And, according to another study, those men who ate at least four vegetable servings per day had a 23 percent reduced risk of having an enlarged prostate.

In addition, the study showed that men who ate more fatty foods each day suffered from an increased risk of developing the condition.

Foods that should be avoided on an enlarged prostate diet include foods that are high in saturated fats, as well as alcohol, which increases inflammation.

Other things that should be avoided are caffeine, red meat, refined sugar, foods that are highly processed, and smoking.

Limiting all of these, or avoiding them altogether, can help with diminishing the amount of pressure on the prostate.

Adding a natural prostate supplement to your enlarged prostate diet, like Lilly Naturals Prostate Support, is an excellent idea as well.
