Flaxseed oil comes from the seed of the flax plant and contains 50 to 60% omega-3 essential fatty acids in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).  It is also known as linseed oil and is derived flaxseedfrom a nutritious and disease-preventing flaxseed. Deficiency in omega-3 fatty acids results to lower intelligence, heart disease, arthritis, depression, cancer and other health problems.
