As compared to fish oil, flaxseed oil contains higher levels of ALA or alpha-linolenic acid and also contains omega-6 fatty acids. Flaxseed is also more tasteful and delectable alternative that the fish oil supplement because fish oil leaves a fishy smell that clings to the skin and to the breath.
